“Though the fig tree does not bud and no fruit is on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though the sheep are cut off from the fold and no cattle are in the stalls, yet I will exult in the LORD; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation”   Habakkuk 3:17,18

Returning to church

We have returned to meeting for church of a Sunday.  at 9:30am.
Everything  will be done to ensure that it is safe to do so.  If you are unable to meet with us in person
in the meantime  listen into  church and the Bible Teaching online. Click on sermons and follow the links.

Who can come?

Everyone who is feeling well is welcome at Abbotsford Anglican.

As you can understand, we will have to ask that if you are  not feeling well or show signs of a sore throat, cough or flu-like symptoms that you stay safe and please stay home to keep others safe as well.

You will be able to access the service on the Sermons page of the website  by about lunch-time on Sunday.

What to bring?

Warm clothing
Please come prepared with warm clothing as we will be leaving the doors open to support good airflow in the building.

If you like bring your own Bible   (In book form or on your phone as an app)
We have however provided a church Bible for each person. They are situated in front of where you sit. Also, all the words for the service, including the Bible readings, will on the screen in church.

What to expect when you come to church:

When you first arrive, you will be required to wear a mask. We will need to register everyone who is at the service, so you will be asked for your name and contact details or to use the QR. These will only be retained, by the parish, for the required period (at this time, four weeks) and will not be used for any other purpose than, in the unlikely circumstance of allowing the relevant authorities knowledge of who was at the service.

An usher will then guide you straight into the main church building. Sanitizer is available and we will ask everyone to use it on their way into and out of the building. The usher will help you find a seat which  has appropriate social distance from the other people already present.

As always, our church service is a time for us to hear the Bible read and taught, a time for prayer and a time to say aloud what we believe and a time to encouarge one another.  We are  able to sing  but wearing our mask.

After church we have an opportunity to catch-up and talk with people after the service, but again this will be with appropriate social distancing.  If you are able to stay join in for morning tea . The kids can play in the playground.
