Getting Involved Survey

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
·      With all areas no experience is required. Training and support is provided if 
       needed. You just need to be prepared to
       give things a go and be used by God.

·      When you indicate interest you are not signing up for life. It is expected that 
       there is a try-out period and then if you think you have found your niche then
       there is at most only a commitment for the rest of the year.

·      This survey has three parts. Please fill in all parts.


Part 1 - Serving on Sundays

Like at home with the family there are just jobs that need to be done. 

As you can see below these are things anyone can do and like a big family the
best way is for us all to just pitch in and help. 

You will not be called upon more than once a month.


Part 2 - My Ministry at St Andrew's

The idea is that you be involved in at least one ministry area at St Andrew's. 
Have a look through our different ministry areas mark three areas of interest.

The best thing to do is to choose your area of PASSION rather than an area of skill.

    Ignite

    The ignite team play an important role in making our church
    known and igniting spiritual interest in our community.

    We need people who can help with these kinds of task
              graphic design
              creative ideas
              

    Fusion

    The fusion team plays a very important role in noticing, welcoming 
    and following up people until they are settled members of our church.

    We need people who can help with these kinds of tasks
                Be an “Ambassador” on Sunday morning.
                Write letters during the week
                Assist with Welcome Lunches
                Visiting
                Assist with Follow-up
                Pray for newcomers    

    Scripture in Schools

    Teaching Scripture classes in our local schools is an enormous 
    privilege and a wonderful opportunity. Opportunities include
                teaching a class
                Assist a Scripture teacher (no teaching involved)
                Relieve a Scripture teacher occasionally


    Kids Plus

    Our Kids Plus ministry looks to run on a Friday afternoon from 3.30-5pm 
    and seeks to share Jesus with primary aged kids in our area and to connect 
    with them and their families. Jobs that need doing include
                running games
                organising craft
                leading small groups
                helping with afternoon tea
                administration
    We need people who have a passion for seeing kids come to know Jesus 
    and grow in their faith and who have one or more of the following gifts
                energy!
                administrative skills
                ability to relate and show love to kids
                serving gifts
                craft & creativity gifts


    Playgroup

    Our playgroups look to connect with and serve the young mums and 
    dads of our area, building bridges with them to our church family 
    and Jesus. Tasks include
                help set up/pack up,
                play with children,
                chat with mums & dads
    One or more of the following gifts would be helpful
                ability to build relationships
                ability to help out and serve


    FFF Youth

    Our FFF youth ministry runs on a Friday night from
    7pm-9.30pm and seeks to connect with the youth in area and lead them
    to Christ and grow them in their faith. Jobs that need doing include
                leading small groups
                building authentic and real mentor relationships
                helping with supper
                administration
    We need people who have a passion for youth and seeing these 
    beautiful young people come to know Jesus and grow in their 
    faith. One or more of the following gifts would be helpful  ability 
    to love teenagers and be real with them
                administrative skills
                serving gifts    

    Pastoral Care

    Our Pastoral Care Team is that vital ministry of love, mercy and kindness that practically displays our care for one another. Tasks include
                Contact people who have missed Church for a while
                Invite people at St. A’s to share a cuppa or a meal, at
                home or in a restaurant
                Visit people who are sick, aged, lonely
                Cook a meal for someone who is sick or in need,
                Do some shopping for someone who is ill
                Write letters or cards on special occasions
                Provide transport to appointments
    People who have one or more gifts in the following areas could be helpful
                compassion
                practical care
                practical helps
                administration


    Linked Ministries

    We have a number of Missionaries/Ministries that we partner with 
    and support. The Linked Ministries team communicates with these 
    ministries and takes initiatives through the year to help us as a church 
    to support them.
    One or more of the following gifts would be helpful
                a passion for overseas mission
                a global perspective
                faithful follow-up


    Service Production

    The Service production team will meet with the Senior Minister 
    to help develop and coordinate creative and interactive elements 
    for our Sunday services.
    Tasks include
                creative ideas generation & development
                video, drama, powerpoint, interviews
